It's been a long time since I did one of these. In fact I was just finishing year one at Staffordshire University. So i guess it's kinda nice to start the next journal wen i've just started year two.

To be honest not much has happened over the gap between journals though I doubt people actually read this enough to care, but hey it's fun! or theputic of something like that!

This semester I'm in a my brand new resisdance with four other people. Three animators like myself and one law student, it's like an american sitcom(a bad one!). Four animators live together with one lawyer, two of the animators are lovers, another one is miles away from his girlfriend and gets depressed when already mentioned couple are being...couply (yours truly btw!), another is now epilatic and worries to much and the law student is a gay rock horror show fan and has mood swings.... hilarity ensues!

On a rather more exciting front... while at least to people in the animation realm, we got have sessions with world famous, award winning animator Barry Purves! If you don't know who he is then do a youtube search for ether 'Barry Purves screenplay' or 'Barry Purves next' and prepare to be amazed!

Speaking of people you've never heard of, I'm also being taught by Nick Roberson again, he was a concept artist on Fantastic Mr Fox and worked on Tim Burton's Corpse Bride. He's absoultely bonkers.

Also after much waiting I finally got to see Fantastic Mr Fox which is now my favourite animated film...at the moment. It was so pretty to watch and the characterisation was amazing and actually explored why Mr Fox is an arrogant smug git for most of the book! Also it was a joy filled adventure story, with a great scene about wild animals and there latin names like Vulpes Vulpes (a red fox) meles meles (badger) and my favourite mustela nivalis (weasel). Some people get annoyed with american voice actors but it didn't bother me as all humans had english voices, though it is never said why there is an opossum in the british country side!
